2016/17 Kaisercraft Design Team Application

Afternoon all.
Today I'm sharing some exciting news.
I was chosen to participate in round 2 of the 2016/17 Kaisercraft Design Team.

Look at the gorgeous box of goodies I received to create something beautiful.
Boho Dreams Collection which is yet to be released.
This is my layout I created.
The thing that inspired me was my photo with the blues and oranges and a hint of green it goes really well with the blue and orange in the collection. And also my daughter is Young, Free, Happy and Beautiful.
Step 1. First I cut 1.5cm off 2 sides of my white piece of heavy cardstock then mixed some Kaiser mist in Peach with some whipped spackle making it a pretty light peach colour and using the 12x12 Designer Template Mandala I positioned it off centre a little and applied my paste with a spatula.
Step 2. Once it dried I stuck it down on Boho Dreams Wild and then machine stitched are 3 sides.
Step 3. I then cut 3 piece of paper Free, Wild and Young for my photo to backed on and also a piece of vellum for behind my photo. I then stuck foam behind to give it more dimension.
Step 4. From the paper Bohemian I cut out the tag with the camera on it and punch a hole for some twine and then backed it on foam also.
Step 5. I then gathered all my embellishments I wanted to use. Some of the Collectables, Mini paper blooms in coral, paper blooms in iceberg. I made a little bunting from the picture perfect piece and cut 2 extra pieces out of the Wild and Young paper and sewed it together. From the 2 small Iceberg blooms I took the back 2 petals off to make the flowers smaller and used the flat petals behind the flower diecut and the sweet diecut circle. From my stash I also used a doily and a wood veneer heart which I applied some left over mixed up mist and paste. And added a few enamel dots and from the Boho Dreams sticker sheet I added the title SMILE. I then flick some Kaiser mist in Peach and Denim to finish it off.
I hope you like what I have created and like my little tutorial.
It would be a wonderful experience to be on this amazing Design Team.
Wish me luck.
Catch you next time.

Scrap the Girls March challenge.

Happy Easter long weekend.
I've decided to do some scrapbooking today as my hubby took my youngest fishing.
This layout I'm sharing is for Scrap the Girls March challenge.
This month they have a great sketch to go by.
Here is their sketch.
and here is my Layout.
I've used the beautiful Finders keepers collection that I won from Kaisercraft and another Formal photo of my oldest daughter.
I hope the photo quality is ok only using my phone as I need a new lens for my camera as I broke it when we were moving house so need to get a new one asap.
Thanks for stopping by and catch you next time.
